ELSA Austria Law Review

Published by Verlag Österreich

The ELSA Law Review is an annual legal journal on a specific legal topic organised by students for students. In the ELSA Austria Law Review, students and young lawyers from Austria dedicate each issue to a current legal topic. ELSA Austria's main aim with the ELSA Austria Law Review is to promote students' legal writing skills and to give them the opportunity to participate in Austria's academic and legal policy discourse during their studies. The editorial board of the Law Review is made up of renowned legal experts every year.

The origin of this format lies in the Anglo-American region. Most universities in America have their own law review. The oldest was found at the University of Pennsylvania, which was published as early as 1852. At ELSA, too, this project is enjoying a steady existence in national groups such as ELSA Poland, ELSA Slovakia, ELSA Malta, ELSA Turkey and others. The first edition of the ELSA Austria Law Review was dedicated to the topic of "Internationality and Law" and was presented for the first time on 27 October 2016 at the Federal Ministry of Justice.
