AATI Newsletter

The AATI Newsletter publishes information about new publications, forthcoming conferences, events, contests, and awards. It also provides a forum for discussion on pedagogy and teaching strategies. Short articles or brief notes dealing with direct classroom experience, teaching tips, and successful application of linguistic theories are welcome.

The newsletter comes out twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring. Dates for submission of articles are September 15 for the fall newsletter and March 1st for the spring newsletter. Articles and information are solicited from paid members by the President of AATI and sent directly to the Editor of the newsletter. Specifically, regional representatives are expected to provide information about the areas they represent, including information about conferences, meetings, contests and awards, as well as information about Italian and Italian American organizations involved in the promotion of the Italian language, culture and literature. Members of AATI may make announcements about their recent publications. Short articles or brief notes dealing with direct classroom experience, teaching tips, and successful application of linguistic theories are welcome. Paid advertisements are also included. The Editor directs all those interested in placing advertisements first to the Secretary-Treasurer to pay and then the announcement is sent to the editor. Once the newsletter has been edited and proof read by the Editor, it is sent to the President for his/her approval. After approval is obtained, the newsletter is sent in PDF format to the Director of Communication who posts it on the AATI website.
