The article discusses various presentations made at a conference on the history of the Jewish Holocaust from the viewpoint of bystanders, held in Amsterdam, Netherlands during September 24-26, 2015. Topics discussed at the conference included the emergence of a historic semantics of bystanders in all European societies since the 1960s; people who were perpetrators of the crimes of World War II; and Nazi crimes and persecution of Polish Jews.
