Due to low parathyroid hormone, low serum calcium levels and high plasma phosphate levels, she was diagnosed with hypoparathyroidism along with anaemia, leucopenia and hypoalbuminaemia, pericardiaum effusion and long QTc syndrome. The girl received hydrocortisone for the initial 9 days for her allergy symptoms along with valproic acid for epilepsy and metoprolol for long QTc syndrome. [Extracted from the article]
