Mental Health America (MHA) announced Dec. 10 that CEO Paul Gionfriddo will be retiring from his position at MHA in July 2021 after seven years of service. At MHA, Gionfriddo's contributions have included coining the term "B4Stage4" and using it to promote MHA's efforts toward earlier intervention around mental health conditions, building MHA's successful online screening and screening‐to‐supports program and refocusing Mental Health Month as MHA's signature public education effort to empower and destigmatize people living and thriving with mental health conditions, MHA officials stated. Gionfriddo has enhanced the reputation and identity of the entire MHA national and affiliate community and initiated the Bell Seal program to recognize and celebrate workplace mental health champions. MHA commenced its search for a new president and CEO Dec. 10. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
