Core institutions of the old civil society are implicitly still at the heart of the "processes and relations" that are to be studied from now on. All the Danish civil society examples presented are firmly situated in the conventional civil society sphere of voluntary associations and movements (or in its conventional border area: the "blurring" NGO-business partnerships). He reflects on the contributions in the book, mainly in order to summarise once more the shortcomings of the "sectoral model" and to issue a plea for "civil society as processes and relations" (p. 194).
