This article discusses two case reports of patients with metastatic lung adenocarcinoma who experienced various toxicities and lack of efficacy during treatment with antineoplastic drugs. The first case involves a 55-year-old man who developed ototoxicity, fluid retention, hypercreatininaemia, and skin toxicity while receiving cisplatin and pemetrexed. The second case involves a 54-year-old woman who experienced hypercreatininaemia while receiving pemetrexed and carboplatin. Despite multiple treatments, both patients experienced disease progression. These case reports highlight the potential toxicities and limited effectiveness of certain antineoplastic drugs in the treatment of metastatic lung adenocarcinoma. [Extracted from the article]
