A 27-year-old woman experienced severe injection site pain while being treated with enoxaparin-sodium for pulmonary embolism. She also had a low therapeutic value of warfarin and subtherapeutic INR due to the concurrent administration of warfarin for pulmonary embolism and rifampicin for active pulmonary tuberculosis. The woman had a history of cesarean sections, cesarean wound infection, alcohol abuse, active pulmonary tuberculosis, and tobacco use. Her therapy with rifampicin was changed to rifabutin, and her therapy with enoxaparin-sodium was discontinued. Her therapy with warfarin was completed after 98 days of treatment.
