A retrospective study examined 22 patients who received treatment with sotrovimab for SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant infection. Of these patients, 16 developed acquired drug resistance or experienced a lack of efficacy. Resistance mutations were observed in the Omicron variant after sotrovimab infusion in several patients, leading to a diagnosis of acquired drug resistance. Unfortunately, some patients died despite receiving sotrovimab therapy, indicating a lack of efficacy. [Extracted from the article]
