A 43-year-old man developed liver damage while being treated with vancomycin for Q fever endocarditis. He initially presented with symptoms such as exertional palpitations, chest tightness, and fever, and was diagnosed with Q fever endocarditis. Vancomycin was administered, but after several days, his liver enzymes increased, indicating liver damage. The dose of vancomycin was adjusted, and eventually, his condition improved with the use of other medications. He underwent valve replacement surgery and was eventually discharged with no further symptoms. [Extracted from the article]
