The article questions whether or not paying for media coverage is ever ethical. Respondents from all over the world offer their opinions on the subject. Graeme Domm, PR program coordinator at RMIT University in Australia, says that it is undesirable but sometimes necessary. Joanna Moss, head of promotions and publicity for Qatar Petroleum in Doha, Qatar, says that businesses can enact ethical change by educating people. Lystra Sharp, public relations officer for Caribbean Cement Co. Ltd. in Jamaica, says that organizations must take an ethical position to stop this practice.
