The article focuses on the public perception regarding the lack of ethics in business. It argues that ethics, or the lack thereof, is not a monopoly of business. Ken Binmore, author of the book "Natural Justice," proposes to examine the development of ethical standards or norms in the same way that life scientists examine natural phenomena. It suggests that understanding how norms emerge and evolve can result to getting ethics by experimental design and, ultimately, by social policy.
