The article presents the results of the census for population counts from the U.S. Census Bureau in 2011. According to William Frey, international demographer at the Brookings Institution, Texas, also known as the Lone Star State, will pick up three Congressional seats since it survives the housing bubble. Meanwhile, Frey adds that other states such as Louisiana and California will not see their usual growth patterns and will not pick up a congressional seat.
