The article examines the implications for taxpayers' money of enforcing immigration laws in the U.S. Illegal immigrants impose significant burden in services that range from education, welfare, medical care and criminal justice, which is estimated at 113 billion U.S. dollars nationwide, the author notes. Apologists for illegal aliens claim that employed illegals also pay taxes but estimates reveal that they only contribute 3.96 billion U.S. dollars a year as against the 84 billion U.S. dollars they collect in public services.
