Zugriff:
Things have to be pretty ugly for a senior executive to feel the need to sneak into his own annual general meeting. But then again, it's been a pretty bad month for K.Y. Ho, the co-founder, chairman and CEO of ATI Technologies Inc., the Markham, Ontario-based producer of computer graphic imaging chips. Not only has his company's stock dropped through the floor, but Ho, his wife and two other ATI executives and their spouses face insider trading allegations leveled by the Ontario Securities Commission. Ho is scheduled to appear before the commission later this month to explain why he and other execs sold millions of dollars worth of stock in early 2000 when they were allegedly aware ATI's sales were flagging and that the company wouldn't meet its financial guidance. If he's found guilty, Ho could face millions of dollars in penalties and be banned as a director and officer of ATI.
