The article presents information on an activity program of children related to the bread-making which resulted into a failure. The bread-making was done in the simplest manner. The children were given information about yeast which is a plant. The children were told that yeast needs to be warm, but not hot, in order to grow. No explanation was given to the students regarding the effect of the yeast. They worked accurately and observed keenly. The points that aroused the interest and surprise include the stickiness of the dough, that the dough had increased in bulk, that it became light and soft after standing, that baking changed it so much. A question was raised during the program asking about the functions of the yeast. The students had shown their evident desire to know more about the nature of wheat and of yeast.
