The article presents information on the historical stories related to the study of early trade and transportation written by the children of third grade in an elementary school. The class was divided into two groups and each group was supported by twelve members. The Homeric Greeks and the Norsemen were the focus of the study. Leave-taking and incidents on the sea including storm and battle stories were the topics chosen by the children. The article talks about the style of story composition and use of language with expression by the two groups of the children. A story called "The Norse Trader" belongs to Harold, King of Norway who set out for a journey to Spain. The other story called "The Greek Trader" that belongs to the king of Greek, Menelaus, who was looking for a trader, Aeson, to get some beautiful things.
