The article presents a study which discusses the boundaries being put between academic concepts and other disciplines in the educational system. It relates several paradigms that have been important in the delivery for education, historical development of academic specialization and the softening of the limits of music in education. In addition, the author relates that the delivery of education in the arts has been completely inadequate, which totally damages the relevance of music and art to the general curriculum.
