In their struggles for land rights, territory and natural resources indigenous peoples of Latin America refer to their native cosmovision and ecological world-view. The ecological cosmology of indigenous peoples of the modern world system, however, is a dissonant juxtaposition, coexistence and drifting apart of local norms, concepts and practices dealing with nature. Using the example of the Nasa (Páez) of the Columbian Andes, the following considerations investigate the theme of political ecology under the perspective of indigenous resistance. Thus the political ecology of the nasa develops in the field of a multiplicity of lived practices, of a normative cosmovision - propagated by the Indigenous Regional Council of Cauca CRIC who conceives cosmovision as daily life practices that imply an indigenous cosmocentric ethics of nature - and a strategic apparatus of power. The revolutionary culturalist politics of the CRIC defines territory as a political-religious space and conceives shamanistic spirit as resistance of culture.
