The US publication „Studying Students has inspired a wide-ranging interest in ethnographic methods in German libraries. As a result, a need for further education and the integration of qualitative approaches into LIS curricula has emerged. Which programs and courses are on offer? This article attempts an overview of the types and content of ethnography in librarians' further education. Photo-interviews, design workshops and video-feedback turn out to be suitable subjects for practically oriented seminars, allowing participants to obtain a hands-on experience of the methodology.
