Public relations in libraries communicates what libraries do and why they are important. The aim is to enhance their reputation. The communications team of the Austrian National Library uses a variety of channels to reach a broader public. More and more important in the digital age is a compelling web presence and social media marketing. Thus, the Austrian National Library has relaunched its website and set up a mobile version. Since 2012, the Library is also on facebook and already got more than 4000 likes.
