L'Institut « Bernardino de Sahagún » du Conseil Supérieur d'Investigations Scientifiques (CSCI) fut le principal centre officiel d'investigation en anthropologie et ethnologie espagnoles pendant la période franquiste. L'A. étudie les grandes lignes de recherche instituées par le directeur, J. Pérez de Barradas, et les conditions politiques et idéologiques qui limitèrent son activité et qui laissèrent l'anthropologie culturelle au point mort au sein du CSCI.
