Starting from the question of how «innovation» can be defined in economics, Daniel Huber and Henri Huber extend their view to politics as well. Is there an analogy between these fields -- so the thesis goes -- and in what exactly differ their characteristics in detail? The fact that the concept of innovation in politics cannot be framed in a value-free way is identified as a central deviation. In the future, research will have to examine above all what innovative capacity the political system in Switzerland has and how this potential can be promoted. According to the authors, the federalist structure offers ideal conditions for testing out novel solutions on a limited scale. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
[ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
