The article focuses on investigates into the relation between a colonial imagery of Eastern Europe and Nazi occupation practices and research within this field is the investigation of what have been called "Hitler's geographies", the spatial imagery of Nazi Germany. It mentions perception of modern Greece in Italy and Germany during Fascism and National Socialism, focusing on the period immediately preceding the Axis invasion of 1941 and the occupation years. It also mentions cultural encounters and are closely related to the self-perception of the individual or collective subjects.
