Germany has made significant progress in the development of gene, cell, and tissue therapeutics in recent years. In 2023, 78 clinical trials were conducted with such medications, which is about four and a half times more than in 2018. Most of these studies were initiated by companies. The Association of Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies (vfa) now provides information on these studies as a resource for site evaluation and for assessing the effectiveness of funding measures. The studies mainly focus on cancer patients but also offer hope for people with other serious diseases such as Crohn's disease or muscular dystrophy. The vfa will update the monitor annually and highlight trends through time series. [Extracted from the article]
[Extracted from the article]
